www.baobabcollection.comAfter a long afternoon out, we'll celebrate our Home Sweet Home by lighting a candle from Baobab Collection, a brand imagined by Belgian designer Valérie Bietlot somewhere between South Africa and Tanzania. The largest candle, made by hand like all the others in Wavre, Wallonia, stands 40 cm-tall (that's 1.3 feet!), burns through seven wicks and lasts 800 hours. That's entire weeks that a part of us will spend dreaming of the morning dew on the wide plains of Africa, or the fringe of deep, dark forests wherein the rhinoceros may venture. Under the influence of Wild Grass' notes of herb and tarragon, the mind journeys towards a tan tent, carefully camouflaged in the savannah's high grass, where we'd lay on coarse, comforting carpets. Outside the rain season is under way, and torrents pour down on our cotton shelter. Under the immense trees, the lions shake their dripping mane before they set off on the hunt.
